Assembly

To assemble the Expert Doco Kit, start by connecting the bottom and top plates. Then, proceed with installing the side plates and the floating NATO rail.

Next, build the monitor support section. Begin by attaching the 19mm front rod mount to the MAP M4 points on the top plate. Subsequently, mount the 19mm rod and double NATO rail.

Prepare the monitor by mounting it onto the holder and then onto the Axl mount. When installing the straight loupe adapter, first remove the 90-degree adapter from the loupe using a T8 driver.

To assemble the shoulder rig, start by fitting the shoulder pad onto the rig before securing the VCT-14 mount.

Complete the setup by personalising your dovetail plates and cheeseplates with your preferred accessories.

Ensure you have 3mm and 4mm hex keys, a flathead screwdriver, and a T8 driver on hand.

Compatibility

The shoulder rig is designed for easy mounting on any VCT-14 tripod adapter plate, and the bottom plate adheres to the ARRI BUD standard, as seen on the BUD-1 & BUD-3, facilitating compatibility with various platforms such as our BUD 15mm LWS baseplate, universal BUD plates, and more.

For attaching accessories directly, we use ARRI pin-lock standard threads at all threaded points and NATO standard rails consistently. The MAP M4 points are uniformly spaced 20mm apart.
