An industry standard, the award winning Cooke S4 Prime Lenses were designed and developed in close technical collaboration with industry professionals. The S4’s were awarded with both an Academy Award and a Primetime Emmy Award for their Outstanding Achievement in Optical and Mechanical Engineering. They are colour matched and compatible with all contemporary Cooke cine lenses. Cooke S4 optics offer superb optical and mechanical performance, control of flare, distortion, veiling glare and spherical aberrations at full aperture. The cam-type focus mechanism allows for smooth focus adjustments. The S4’s are a favorite of DP’s the world over, and they brought the “Cooke Look” to modern productions with their solid, uniform design and pleasingly gentle visual characteristics.
