Overview

As a Rentals Prep Technician, you will play a crucial role in supporting our diverse range of productions by assisting in the preparation, testing, and support of motion picture equipment. This role offers you the opportunity to develop your technical knowledge, expand your skillset, and be part of a dynamic team that ensures seamless operations across various production types, from TV commercials and corporate videos to documentaries, series drama, and feature films.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation, testing, and maintenance of a wide variety of motion picture equipment for productions of all sizes and scopes.
  • Collaborate with the Rentals Team to ensure timely and accurate equipment preparation for each job.
  • Handle the equipment booking process, ensuring all technical specifications are met and logistics are organized efficiently.
  • Support clients with technical queries and offer practical solutions to meet production needs.
  • Participate in the return and invoicing process for all equipment rentals, ensuring smooth and accurate transactions.
  • Maintain a strong focus on quality control, ensuring all equipment is thoroughly tested and operational before delivery to clients.
  • Work collaboratively with other team members to troubleshoot and resolve any technical challenges that arise during the preparation and post-rental stages.

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • A foundational understanding of camera and motion picture equipment, with a strong willingness to learn and grow within the field.
  • Ideally, 1-2 years of experience in a technical or production-focused role within film, television, or a related industry.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and manage priorities effectively under tight deadlines.
  • A problem-solving approach and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues as they arise.
  • Strong attention to detail, particularly in ensuring all equipment is well-maintained and fully functional before use.
