The Atomos Flame Series delivers the world’s most advanced 7” field monitor, accurately displaying 10 stops of the luminance detail of Log with 10 bit HDR Post Production color accuracy, for the first time in a field monitor. The AtomHDR engine not only resolves HDR brightness detail (dynamic range), with 10-bit color accuracy it also resolves 64 times more color information than traditional 8-bit panels.

Blackmagic Design today announced that Blackmagic URSA Mini 4.6K and the Blackmagic Micro Cinema Camera have commenced shipping and that the specifications of the two cameras have been changed. Blackmagic Design have also announced the release of a short film that shows off the power of the URSA Mini 4.6K camera as well as a “making of” video that shows how the camera was used on this shoot.

Sony have released a new firmware update (version 2.00) to their NXCAM camcorders the HXR-NX3. The big addition of this firmware update is support for the XAVC-S HD format, with update version 2.00 adding recording, playback and output in the XAVC-S HD format to the HXR-NX3.
