Well it’s been a big day for camera announcements! Canon have generated some serious buzz surrounding their LA-based announcement today, which Lemac’s Business Development Manager, Stuart Pointon, attended.
The camera that Canon have released is the C300, available in either EF or PL mount configurations. What is significant about this announcement, however, is not just that they have released a potentially very exciting new camera, but that Canon have now seriously entered the Digital Cinema market, with their new product line branded Cinema EOS.
Meanwhile, Red have also been busy, introducing (mainly via Twitter after an ‘attack’ on their website!) the long-expected Scarlet, capable of shooting 4K video and 5K stills, and coming in at an extremely competitive price point.
