Tilta Unveils Nucleus-M II Wireless Lens Control System at NAB 2025

Unveiled at this year’s NAB Show, the new Nucleus-M II Wireless Lens Control System represents a significant upgrade to Tilta’s industry favorite lens control platform.

With support for up to four motors and real-time Variable ND control, the system delivers high-end precision and responsiveness for professional cinematographers. A newly added 2.4-inch touchscreen display, detachable electronic focus marking disk, and an updated classic hand-wheel design make operation more intuitive than ever. Tilta is also offering an introductory promotion through May 15th for those looking to upgrade early.

Ergonomic and Modular Design for Flexible Setups

The Nucleus-M II is designed for adaptability and comfort, with a zoom module that can be switched between left or right grips or used as a top handle with the optional adapter. This modular approach supports a range of rig configurations and operator preferences. Whether handheld or mounted, the system offers seamless integration into diverse shooting environments while maintaining ergonomic efficiency for long shoots.

Backwards Compatible with Expanded Ecosystem Support

A standout feature of the Nucleus-M II is its backward compatibility. It works with the original Nucleus M1 system and its accessories, as well as the Tilta Nano II, Mirage Motor, and even integrates with the Blackmagic Camera App, offering a future-proof solution for existing users. This level of cross-platform support ensures a smooth upgrade path while maximising value for users with mixed setups.

Compact, Powerful, and Long-Lasting

Despite its smaller footprint, the Nucleus-M II packs increased torque and ultra-responsive 0.02s focus performance, outperforming both the M1 and Nano II motors in speed and strength. Powered by NP-F550 batteries, both the FIZ hand unit and hand grips can operate for 8-12 hours depending on conditions. Available in multiple kits including the Ultimate Kit with two motors and hand grips, and a standalone Motor Kit, Tilta’s new system delivers power, portability, and professional performance in one sleek package.
