Bring your 15mm LWS system up to speed with our dedicated riser for the Canon C400. Purpose-built to match the mounting specifications of the camera, this riser sets the C400 to the correct height for the industry-standard 15mm Light Weight Support (LWS). Captive screws ensure you have everything you need to install the riser to any compatible 15mm LWS baseplate, and the rubber pads provide a sturdy grip with no flex in the riser.

15mm LWS Standards

The riser provides the correct spacing to set the camera to the correct height for 15mm rods in the baseplate.

LeftField 3 & Create Compatible

The riser is compatible with our LeftField 3 & Create 15mm LWS baseplates, such as B4003.1034 – LeftField 3 15mm LWS Baseplate or the Create 15mm LWS Baseplate.

Made for Canon C400

The riser uses two captive screws – one 1/4” and one 3/8” – aligned with the wide mounting pattern of the Canon C400.

Interchangeable Risers

If you already have a baseplate and are upgrading to the Canon C400, simply add this riser to make it compatible.

Looking ahead, you can upgrade to a quick-release riser or switch to a different riser to accommodate other camera systems—keeping your setup versatile and future-proof.

Stable Platform

Once in place, you can rest assured that your C400 is locked in place. The wide base of the riser prevents it from flexing and features rubber pads to maintain grip. The riser itself is made from anodised aluminium, for long-lasting protection from the wear-and-tear of busy sets.

Instructions/Assembly

The Canon C400 Standard Riser ships as a singular unit with all screws. It requires a Flathead Screwdriver and a 3mm Hex Key to install.

Riser to Baseplate

1. Install the riser to the baseplate by aligning the six M4 screw with the 15mm LWS Baseplate.

2. Use a 3mm Hex Key and tighten then six screws in an alternating pattern, securing the riser onto the baseplate.

3. The riser is now attached to the baseplate.

Baseplate to Camera

1. To install the baseplate on to the Canon C400, align the 1/4” and 3/8” screws with the base of the C400.

2. Use a flathead screwdriver to secure the baseplate to the camera. Alternate between the two screws to ensure a tight fit.

Compatibility

The Canon C400 Standard Riser is designed to work with the Canon C400 specifically, to set the camera to the correct height for the 15mm LWS rod standard.

It is compatible with any LeftField 3 Baseplate, including the B4003.1034 – LeftField 3 15mm LWS Baseplate and the upcoming Create 15mm LWS Baseplate.
