Want to keep something out of your shot? Simply engage the Prodigy Air Deflector and watch as anything on the glass is blown away – literally. The glass is also optically clear with a superhydrophobic coating, meaning that is has no effect on the visuals of your shot.

Built on the Misfit Kick

Before the Prodigy, shooters had to choose between a clean shot and a stylish shot. Not anymore: the Prodigy is built on the frame of our Misfit Kick matte box. This means you can add up to three filters behind the air deflector to modify your exposure; so your shot is crisp and clean and free of vignetting – simply attach one of our Frame Safe Clamp Adaptors.

Lightweight

The Prodigy Air Deflector is also notably lightweight, meaning that it can be mounted in clip-on or rod-mounted setups for added convenience, without the risk of damaging your camera rig. What’s more, the compressor – the heavier component which helps feed compressed air to the air head – can be mounted at a distance, allowing you to better balance your camera setup.

Customise without compromise with the Prodigy Air Deflector: along with the compressor being repositionable, you can easily add on top of it with a variety of rigging possibilities. It features helicoil-reinforced threads to connect clamps and brackets. For added stunt security, attach a safety line using the tether points on the Air Head and Compressor.

Durable

That low weight is thanks to the Prodigy’s build made of carbon fibre, high-grade aluminium and stainless steel: all of which make it perfect for rugged rigs. The Prodigy is IP66 rated, meaning that it is not only completely dust-proof, but it can withstand powerful water jets without a problem – the only ratings that are higher are reserved for total submersion. Though the Prodigy can’t be immersed fully underwater, it is rust-proof and corrosion-resistant, and reliable in the hottest or coldest of conditions.

Power & Protection

The Prodigy is powered by an industry-standard 24V 2-pin LEMO input with built-in automatic polarity switching. The power input allows for a voltage range of 21-33V, ensuring reliability and adaptability and helps prevent issues. In situations where the voltage goes outside of the recommended range, your power warning symbol will illuminate. An amber light will signal if it drops below 21V or exceeds 33V, or red if the voltage goes below 19V or above 35V (the Prodigy will shut off).

User-Friendly

The Prodigy is also intuitive to use for professional ACs and newcomers alike, with clear and well-lit buttons and status lights. Built-in error detection means it is easy to troubleshoot issues and get back to shooting. An industry-standard 3-pin Fischer Run/Stop port allows the Prodigy to be triggered using compatible hand units and remotes.

The Prodigy can be mounted via support rods or onto any standard lens, using our Frame Safe Clamp Adaptors. Once mounted, it is able to fit 4″ x 5.65″ filters with ease.
