Following on from their successful short film Celestial Avenue (shot on Lemac’s SI2K system), the Cairnes Brothers have just commenced production on their debut feature, 100 Bloody Acres, starring Damon Herriman and Angus Sampson.
100 Bloody Acres is a horror film, telling the story of two brothers and their struggling organic blood and bone fertilizer business. Shot by John Brawley, and following on from a round of multiple camera tests, the film is being shot on Lemac’s Arri Alexa, recording to Apple ProRes, using Hawk 1.3x anamorphic lenses (pictured).
Production is taking place in Adelaide, with financing coming from Screen Australia, South Australian Film Corporation, Film Victoria and the MIFF Premiere Fund.
