Lemac is proud to have supplied equipment and support to several television programs and features which have recently picked up top honors at the Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts (AACTA) Awards.
Laid, shot on Panasonic HPX3000 cameras, was the winner of Best Television Comedy. Laid is a Porchlight Films production, produced by Liz Watts in associated with ABC TV, Film Victoria and Screen Australia.
My Place series 2, shot on Panasonic Varicams also supplied by Lemac Sydney, has also won - Best Children's Television Series - at AACTA Awards.
My Place is a 13-part, half-hour series, based on the multi-award winning children’s novel by Nadia Wheatley. It is a story that delves into the past episodically, series 2 ranging from 1878 to a time before European settlement.
The series was produced by Penny Chapman and Helen Panckhurst and premiered on ABC3 in June 2011.
The Slap has also taken out several prizes including Best Short Run Series, while Red Dog received the award for Best Film!
